Mom Wellness, Unfiltered

Real wellness for real moms – no guilt, no filters.

(Real talk, no pressure, no perfection required.)

Let’s be honest — the wellness world is loud.
There’s always a new gadget, powder, app, or drink being pushed at us. And if you’re a mom, it’s easy to feel like you’re either doing it all or failing completely.

I’m not here to tell you what you should be using.
I’m here to share what’s actually helped me — a busy mom of 2 (almost 3!), trying to stay sane, healthy-ish, and present for my family. These are the tools I turn to again and again. No filters, no fluff — just what works.

💪 1. A Protein Drink I Actually Like: Fairlife Chocolate

Sometimes even mixing a shake feels like too much.
These Fairlife protein shakes are my grab-and-go lifesaver. They taste like a treat (think chocolate milk vibes), have 30g of protein, and keep me full way longer than my toddler’s attention span.

  • No blender
  • No cleanup
  • No chalky aftertaste

Are there “cleaner” options out there? Yes.
But these keep me nourished on the days I don’t even have time to think — and that’s a win in my book.

2. My Daily Walks (no purchase necessary 😆)

No subscription. No fancy gear.
Just me, fresh air (or a walking pad), and a few quiet minutes — or let’s be real, a podcast while pushing a stroller and dodging scooters.

Walking helps me:

  • Decompress when I feel overstimulated
  • Support my hormones and energy
  • Actually enjoy movement without a strict routine

Sometimes it’s 10 minutes, sometimes 40.
Every time, it’s worth it.

💧 3. A Water Bottle That Makes Me Drink More

Enter: the HydroJug Traveler Tumbler (40 oz) — my hydration BFF.

It checks all the boxes:

  • Fits in my car cupholder ✅
  • Straw ✅
  • No leaks ✅
  • Keeps water cold ✅
  • AND — the see-through lid lets me check for backwash floaties after my kids inevitably “borrow” a sip. 🫠

Drinking water isn’t groundbreaking advice, but having a bottle I actually like makes all the difference.

🗓️ 4. My Planner (AKA Calendar and Notes Apps)

Planning out our week has been a game-changer for my mental load — especially when it comes to mealtime stress.

I try to carve out 15–20 minutes on Sunday to:

  • Brain dump the week
  • Plan meals (or at least list 4-5 dinner ideas)
  • Note what nights are “leftover or mac and cheese” nights 🙃

Even when I don’t stick to the plan 100%, just having one helps my brain breathe.

💡 Coming soon: A post on how I actually plan my week + meals, without getting overwhelmed.

🥕 5. My Go-To Kitchen Gadget: The Veggie Chopper

Let me just say: I love this tool — but I also have to warn you that it can be annoying to clean 😂

Still, it’s 100% worth it.

I use my veggie chopper to:

  • Speed through dinner prep
  • Batch chop onions, peppers, and carrots for the week
  • Actually follow through on the “eat more vegetables” thing

🔁 My tip: Batch chop and store extra portions in airtight containers for the next day’s meal. Saves time and sanity.

This is the one I have and love! Click here.

💬 Final Thoughts

You don’t need to overhaul your life or spend hundreds on the latest trends to feel good.
These are just a few things that help me stay a little more grounded, a little more nourished, and a lot less frazzled — even on the messy days.

I’ll be sharing more unfiltered reviews, wellness tips, and “hey-this-actually-helped” kind of posts here regularly(ish).

Got a wellness product or mom tool you’re curious about?
Let me know — I’d love to try it for you.

Loved these tips—so practical! With how busy life gets, it’s such a game-changer to have shortcuts like pre-chopped veggies ready to go. Makes healthy choices so much easier. And I’m totally with you on Fairlife—especially the chocolate one. A little treat never hurts! Which veggie chopper do you use?
