There’s something about March that makes everything feel like it’s slowly waking back up — longer days, a little more energy, and flowers beginning to bloom.
Here’s a little peek into what this month has looked like for us.
Currently loving: The SUN🌞
I’m dying that as I’m writing this, the beautiful sunny weather that we have been having has turned to snow. Welcome to spring in Utah! We need the moisture, but man, I am a WHOLE NEW PERSON when the sun is shining. It will come back, and until then, I’ll get my heat therapy from the gym sauna.

Currently working on: cutting down my Diet Coke intake
I know, you’re probably shocked with this one. I always tell people that if they want to stop drinking diet soda, I’m not the person to talk to. So why am I trying to cut down? I’ll always preach that you can enjoy the foods/drinks you like while living a healthy lifestyle. However, I’ve decided I want to practice a little more balance, some will-power, and find other “pick-me-ups”. Give me all your suggestions, because I’ve yet to find something as good as a crisp diet coke in a foam cup with pebble ice.

TASTE TEST TUESDAY – Is it worth the hype or are people lying to themselves?
Currently hyperfixated on: Scoopable Cookies (with a twist)
This was a TikTok trend I saw and could NOT get out of my head. Think half-baked chocolate chip cookie. It’s warm, gooey, and the perfect amount of sweet. I’m a nightly snacker, but typically try to utilize my late-night eats to get in a little more protein while limiting sugar. So I took the trend and tweaked it to better meet those goals, and it did NOT disappoint. We have been eating them so often that I taught Easton how to make them. Here’s the “husband-friendly” recipe:

Some quick notes:
- We typically use a bread pan and scoop 6 large balls of dough
- You can swap coconut sugar for maple syrup (just add a little bit more flour)
- Any flour works
- We use the “Just Plain” Protein Powder from Just Ingredients (vanilla would also work great)
- If it was a rough day you can stuff the dough balls with chocolate for a little extra 😆
Currently surviving: colds, croup (again) & never ending laundry
Last month, we were surviving a “sleep regression”. I am happy to report that after moving baby Biddy to her own room and a few WEEKS of light sleep training, we have turned a corner in the sleeping department. While there always seems to be a new tooth coming in, a stuffy nose, or another sleep regression, we have made some great progress. If you’re in the thick of it, use this as your reminder that there is sleep at the end of the tunnel! 😁
While the sun has had me feeling more alive, I’ve also felt like I’ve been doing a lot more surviving. We’re finally at the end (knock on wood) of another round of a cold, and baby Biddy is the last to get it. Biddy #2 had a couple ER trips back in November for croup, and gave us a similar scare this month. Luckily, we were able to get him some steroids quick that did the trick.
As for the never-ending laundry… that’s just motherhood, right? Yeah, I have always felt this way, but we have entered a whole new level. Biddy #2 (yes, he seems to be the problem child this month 😜) is in the “see how many layers of clothes I can put on at once” phase. He then insists on keeping at least a couple of layers on while he plays because each one gives him a certain superpower or suit. The imaginative play is adorable–the laundry not so much. So if you see me out with a child wearing mismatched clothes, just know I chose to fight different battles that day.
Currently would rebuy IMMEDIATELY:
- I have to start with this one. Remember how last month I thought maybe Just Ingredients stopped selling my favorite face serum? They brought it back, but BETTER. They now have the Face Serum + Vit C! I will be buying this the as soon as my current bottle is gone. LINKED HERE
- After literally weeks of bottle refusal, we finally got baby Biddy to drink from the Lansinoh Bottles. We are trying to keep up with the progress we have made and give her bottles daily. Enter my arch nemesis: pumping. I have never been a fan, but decided to try this hand pump, and it has been a game-changer! For some reason this has felt a lot more doable for me than any other. I can pump what I need quickly, it’s very portable, and small!
- Tell me you’re an adult, without telling me you’re an adult…. This month I tried Force of Nature Cleaner for the first time, and I am HOOKED. We had a quick stomach bug that had me wanting to sanitize everything in the house, but with the baby, I didn’t want something full of chemicals. My cute SIL has told me about this cleaner, so I finally tried it. All it takes is some water, a small capsule of solution, and a few minutes to “charge it”. I love it because:
- Strength of bleach, without the chemicals
- Child safe – I can safely spray it on toys, pacifiers, high chairs, etc., without needing to rinse.
- It’s most effective for the first couple of weeks. This has motivated me on multiple occasions to clean, so I can use up all of the solution.
- All I need to purchase now that I have the starter bundle is the refill capsules.
- Have I convinced you yet? BUY IT HERE
And that’s the Bidd:
And that’s March in the Biddy household.
A little more sunshine, a little more sleep, and still plenty of moments that keep us on our toes. Nothing groundbreaking — just real life, somewhere between surviving and figuring things out as we go.
If we were having that monthly catch-up, I’d want to know — what are you currently hyperfixated on? Have you tried the cookie trend?
See you next month (hopefully with a little less laundry 😉).
