Cleaning the house already feels like a full-time job. And finding a cleaner that works and feels safe to use around your kids feels impossible. I’ve tried the “clean” options that didn’t clean, and the strong ones that made me question what I was breathing in.
So I decided to try Force of Nature Cleaner — a non-toxic cleaner that claims to disinfect as effectively as bleach… without the harsh chemicals.
Here’s my real, unfiltered experience so far.
Why I Started Using It
It started when my 5-year-old got hit with a stomach virus that I did NOT want spread to the baby. I quickly started seeing germs everywhere.😅 I needed something that could disinfect allll the germs, but that was also safe for the baby.
After going down a rabbit hole on non-toxic cleaning, this one kept coming up. Remembering that my SIL uses it, I decided to give it a shot.
What I Like👍(the pros)
- Peace of mind – I don’t stress about using it around my kids or food surfaces
- Multi-purpose – I can use it on counter tops, high-touch surfaces, baby toys, pacifiers, and more
- No strong chemical smell – one of my least favorite things about chemical cleaners
- Refill system – less waste (I appreciate that), and feels more budget-friendly
What I Don’t Love (the “cons”)
- Higher price up front – but I think it’s worth the investment in the long run! And the refills are very reasonable.
- Disinfectant doesn’t last forever – It’s recommended to use or swap out after about 2 weeks. This honestly has just increased my motivation to clean and use up all the cleaner while its most effective.
What I Use it For 🏠
Within the last month I’ve had it, I have been reaching for it to:
- Disinfect high-contact surfaces (light switches, door handles, etc.)
- Clean kitchen countertops
- Deep clean bathrooms
- Cleaning pacifiers
- Mop the floors
- Wipe down the highchair
So, is it worth it?
If you’re trying to clean your home in a way that feels a little safer (without going to extremes) I think this is a solid option to try.
It’s one of the few products I’ve used that actually balances effective + non-toxic + realistic for mom life.
