Welcome to the Monthly Bidd
Let me introduce you to my NEW blog series. Here I’ll give you the updates on my little corner of the world that are either helpful, relatable (the iykyk Mom type moments), or just pure entertaining. If my friend and I had a monthly chat, this is what I’d want to catch up on.
And now, for the moment nobody has asked for, but hopefully you will enjoy… The Monthly Bidd – Segment 1 – February Edition
Currently loving: Rom-Com books?!

Never have I ever read a Rom-Com book before now. A friend introduced me to the book “The One with the Kiss Cam” by Cindy Steel, and I quickly joined a romantic comedy book club. Yeah, we’re talking diving into the genre, not just dipping our toes.
The book was adorable. I thought it was a great balance with an actual plot alongside the budding relationship. While being slightly predictable, it made for the perfect comforting, easy read. And BONUS–it was “recommend to your Grandma” level clean (but still plenty of cute romance!).
Now I’m not saying I’ll turn my back from my usual Thriller, or Historical Fiction books, but it was a nice change in pace. If you’re like me, always building your “to read” list, I’ll link it here.

Currently learning: how to rush less
Have you seen that trend where someone goes through daily tasks rushing, and then says “When you remember this isn’t an emergency”. Well that hit me like a ton of bricks.
So I committed to try and live life a little less stressed. I’m working on it, hence this being in the “Currently Learning” section. But let me just say… The one day that I simply woke up 20 minutes earlier so we could get out the door for preschool drop-off slightly earlier and not on a time crunch, EVERYONE was happier!
So if I’m ever late to something just assume it was because I was trying to be less high strung, and not because my toddler was fighting me on what shoes he wanted to wear, k?
Currently hyperfixating on: ICE CREAM (nothing new here)
I’m back on a Ninja Creami kick. Because I can’t quite justify, for my health or bank account, having Nielsen’s Frozen Custard every night. It takes like 5 min of prep, and with the right ingredients, is a close second to the creamy goodness of the real stuff.
Here’s my recipe template:
1 Cup Milk (I use 1% or Fairlife)
1 Scoop of protein powder (Just Ingredients Salted Carmel is my current ride-or-die)
1 Tbsp of SF Pudding Mix (Cheesecake or Vanilla flavor)
Mix-ins (cashews are my go-to)
Its recommended to freeze them for 24 hours, but I’ve found at least 5 or 6 is usually sufficient. Spin on “Lite Ice Cream”. Add a Tbsp of milk (and mix-ins if you want them crushed up) then “respin”.
If you haven’t hopped on the Ninja Creami wagon yet, do yourself a favor and climb on in. I’m all about treats that help me hit my protein goals and don’t make me feel horrible. But yes, I’ll still get the real deal “concrete” every so often.
Currently surviving: Sleep regressions
I know many of you moms can relate to this. It feels like EVERY MONTH babies have a “sleep regression”. They often say its because they’re learning new things. Oh, that makes sense. But wait… You can’t sleep because you learned how to stick out your tongue?! Come on girlfriend!
I’m slightly kidding. But also, I miss being able to sleep like a rock all night long. With this being baby #3, I know that day will come eventually. However, because its baby #3 I’ve also been a lot more “lax” with doing sleep training and it shows.
To those who never sleep trained: does your kid still join you in bed every night? Asking for a friend….
Currently my favorite products:
- Just Ingredients Face Serum Oil
- I’ve never been a big “skincare” or “makeup” girlie. But when I tell you I’m obsessed with this stuff now, I’m not kidding. If my kid threw it on the floor and broke the bottle, I would in fact scoop up what I could of that liquid gold so I could keep using it until I could have a new bottle delivered.
- I put this on every night after I wash my face, and now understand what people say when they have “hydrated” not just “moisterized” skin. I also love that I can always trust this company to have clean ingredients.
- UPDATE: I went to find the link for you and can’t find the product anymore! I’m so sad, but I also think it might be similar to this body oil.
- Walking Pad
- We’re in our “step counting” era. If you haven’t joined my Build On It challenge on instagram, take this as your personal invitation. We’re slowly building on habits that actually fit into real life. And my walking pad has made increasing my daily movement a whole lot more reasonable as a busy mom. I can walk when its dark or cold outside, I can walk while watching my kids without needing to load everyone into the stroller, and its small enough that it doesn’t need a permanent spot in the house.
- Here’s the one I’ve used for the last year and haven’t had issues. But there are tons of affordable options if you’re looking to “step-up” your movement game (pun intended).
And that’s the Bidd
And that wraps up February in the Biddy household.
Nothing groundbreaking. No life-altering announcements. Just books, sleep regressions, protein ice cream, and learning to rush a little less. Which, honestly, feels like real life right now.
If we were having that monthly Swig chat, I’d want to know:
What are you currently loving? What are you surviving?
Tell me in the comments — or send it to a friend who also needs permission to slow down and eat the ice cream.
See you next month!
