Goodbye 2025 👋
It was a wild, yet wonderful year for our Biddy crew. Our oldest started Preschool. It has been a joy to watch her soak in all the learning. We’ve learned that while she often is on the “shy” side, she makes fast friends with other kids. She has continued to be the “mini mom” of our house as she cares for her younger siblings, especially baby girl.
Biddy #2 has kept us on our toes. I often say that the hardest things about him are also the things that make him so fun. He’s stubborn, curious, and independent. He loves being a big brother, especially now that we are past the initial “adjustment” period.
Biddy #3 was the best thing to come from 2025 for our family. She’s the sweetest, wiggliest baby, and is so very loved! We look forward to watching her continue to grow and develop her own little personality.

E continues to work hard to provide for our family. He serves diligently in our church, and is the best husband and father. He has been busy writing a book about lessons learned from the gameshow Survivor and how they can be applied to the workplace. The two of us have recently been enjoying playing Pickleball together, and are considering attempting our first tournament together!

The majority of the year for me seemed to be filled with doctor visits; some expected, for baby girl, and others not. At my 12-week prenatal check, my OB noticed what she thought was a small nodule on my thyroid. This led to a series of tests that determined I likely had thyroid cancer and would need surgery. I was blessed that the growth was small enough, and seemingly unaggressive enough to postpone surgery until after delivering the baby. Surgery went as well as we could have hoped, and was the only treatment needed. I’ll be monitored for any new growths for the next few years to be safe.

Overall, this year has been a reminder to me that God is SO aware of each of us, in our trials, successes, happy moments, and the little details. I have been shown His love through the countless acts of service from friends and family. I have felt Him comfort and strengthen me through my anxieties.
Hello 2026! 👋
As we begin this new year, I look forward to…
- continuing to strengthen my relationship with the Lord.
- watching my babies continue to learn, grow, and continue to develop their own little personalities.
- more learning. I took the plunge and subscribed to a whole library of continuing education courses through NASM. (This will allow me to stay certified as a Nutritionist and Personal Trainer.)
- developing new and old talents–writing, pickleball, piano, and running are at the top of my list.
- continuing my own business in one way or another. It’s a pattern of trying and tweaking until I find what feels right for this stage of life.
Thank you for being here. Whether you’re a friend or family member that’s here for the life update, or a new “internet friend” hoping to learn something from our chaos, your support means more than you know. I hope you’ll stick around!
